Liturgical & Music Ministries

“If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” Jn 14:23

Liturgical Ministries

The Mass is the Lord’s Supper. The Mass is the celebration of the paschal mystery of Jesus Christ. For more information about becoming involved in any of these ministries, please contact Debbie 239.936.3635 at x129.

Altar Servers

Parishioners from the third grade through adult may assist in the preparation and celebration of Masses.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist

Distribute the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass. Rotating schedule, usually every two – three weeks at the Mass of your choice.

Children's Liturgy Leaders & Helpers

Good News to start the week. You can join a great group of volunteers who bring Jesus’ Good News to the ones He loves most every Sunday at 11:00 AM Mass. Twenty minutes a month at Children’s Liturgy is all they need. Bring your love for kids and your ability to tell a great story (or your skill at keeping them still!) We have lesson plans and community service hours if you need them. Best of all, we have a wonderful group of children who need you to bring the Gospel into their daily lives.

Environment Committee

The Environment team decorates and enhances our Church. Tasks may include putting up and taking down of decorations and arrangements for the Liturgical church year.

Ministers of the Word (Lectors)

This ministry is for those who have a good speaking voice and are called to proclaim the Word of God in a meaningful and alive manner at Mass. Adequate preparation of the Scriptures is required. Training and coaching provided.

Sacristans

Prepare for the celebration of liturgies. If interested in learning about this ministry, consider being an apprentice first to learn the duties. A prayerful attitude is needed.

Ushers & Greeters

Greet and welcome all who come to celebrate Mass. Offer assistance and direction to any newcomers. Assist with seating people, taking up the collection, keeping good order during the Communion procession, handing out bulletins, offering aid to the disabled and the elderly, or with any emergencies that might occur.

The Music Ministries

The Music Ministry serves to provide a musical flow to the Mass that encourages the sung prayer of the assembly. For more information about becoming involved in any of these ministries, please contact Sherry. Phone 239.936.3635 x128.
